Hello {{first_name | Friend}},

Today’s prompt focuses on secret weapon: the story that hooks.

Copy Prompt

Facts inform. Stories sell.

It’s great to open with something so personal, so raw, the reader couldn’t look away. Why? Because a story lowers defenses.

Instead of feeling “marketed to,” the reader feels pulled into a conversation.

Here’s what it looks like:

  • “I still remember sitting at my desk at 2 a.m., staring at the numbers in disbelief. I’d just blown $3,000 on ads that brought in… nothing.”

  • “Back in 2009, I was sleeping on a friend’s couch, broke and wondering if I’d ever figure this copy thing out.”

  • “The first time I tried selling online, my mom was my only customer. And even she asked for a discount.”

See it? You’re not selling yet, you’re pulling them closer. Once the reader feels the story, you can bridge into the lesson and the offer.

Today’s drill: Write the first 3 sentences of a story that connects to your product. Keep it human, relatable, and honest. If it feels like something you’d tell a friend over coffee, you’re on the right track.

Because people forget facts. But they remember stories.
