Hello {{first_name | Friend}},

Today’s prompt comes from a lesson from one of my favorite X/Twitter accounts Andrew Gould. This is what he repeats often: if you do not ask specific questions before a project, you will not have clarity, and your results will be weak.

Copy Prompt

Generic inputs create generic copy. Strong inputs create strong copy.

The difference is the questions you ask before you write a single word.

Use this quick set to force clarity:

Audience
1) Who exactly is this for, and who is it not for?
2) What are they trying to avoid right now?
3) What language do they already use to describe the problem?

Offer
4) What is the one outcome this delivers, in plain words?
5) What has to be believed for someone to say yes?
6) What belief is currently in the way?

Proof
7) What hard evidence can we show: numbers, names, timeframes?
8) What moment proves the product works in real life?

Channel and Action
9) Where will this message live, and what is the single action we want?
10) What must the reader feel just before they click or reply?

Watch one line transform with real answers:

  • “Our platform streamlines workflows.”

  • After questions: “Cut five hours of admin every week, and see your next five at-risk customers before they leave.”

Today’s drill:

Before you draft your next headline or email, answer all ten questions. Write one sentence for the outcome, one sentence for the proof, and one sentence for the action. Only then write your hook.

Specific questions create specific copy.
