Hello {{first_name | Friend}},

Today’s prompt dives into one of the deepest forces in human behavior: one that drives every decision your readers make, often without them realizing it.

It’s not desire.

It’s not pain.

It’s identity.

Copy Prompt

Eugene Schwartz understood that people don’t just buy products, they buy stories about themselves.

Every choice reinforces who they believe they are (or who they’re trying to become). Your job as a copywriter is to connect your offer to that identity.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • “If you’re the kind of person who refuses to blend in, this is your brand.”

  • “For creators who’d rather master their craft than chase trends.”

  • “Built for people who don’t want balance… they want excellence.”

Each line speaks directly to who the reader is, not just what they want.

Today’s drill:

Write three identity-based opening lines using this simple setup:

“If you’re the kind of person who…”

Then fill in the blank with the mindset, value, or belief that your audience already lives by.

Because when your copy aligns with who they already are, the sale feels like they belong.
