Hello {{first_name | Friend}},

Today’s prompt tackles a belief most copywriters never question:

That proof is what makes people buy.

News for you.. It’s not.

Proof only amplifies what’s already strong.

It doesn’t rescue what’s weak.

Copy Prompt

Claude Hopkins — one of the earliest minds in advertising — never relied on social proof alone.

He believed in what he called “demonstration over declaration.”

Show the mechanism.

Show the logic.

Show the reason why it works.

Because here’s the truth:

Testimonials can’t save a weak offer.

A guarantee can.

A mechanism that makes sense can.

A message that speaks to the reader’s real problem can.

Try this reframe:

“Hundreds of happy clients trust us.”

“Here’s how our 3-step system guarantees you never lose another lead.”

“See why everyone’s switching to us.”

“We built a platform that eliminates 8 hours of manual work every week.”

“Rated 5 stars by our customers.”

“Try it risk-free for 30 days. Don’t love it? Don’t pay.”

Today’s Drill:

Take one piece of copy where you’ve leaned on testimonials or social proof.

Now, strip them out completely.

Ask yourself: “Would this still persuade me if no one else had ever said yes?”

If not, rebuild it.

Add logic. Add clarity. Add risk removal.

Because the best proof isn’t what others say about you.

It’s the undeniable logic your reader feels for themselves.

Social proof amplifies great copy.

It never fixes bad copy.
