Hello {{first_name | Friend}},
Today’s prompt dives into something subtle but magnetic —
the moment your reader feels seen.
Copy Prompt
Most copy shouts.
It explains, convinces, and performs.
But the best copy does something rarer: it mirrors.
When a reader feels like your words could’ve come from their own head, their defenses disappear.
It’s not persuasion anymore — it’s recognition.
That’s the Empathy Echo.
You get there by listening to how they speak.
Scroll through customer reviews.
Watch how they describe their frustration, their goals, their doubts.
Write down the exact phrases they use, not what you think they mean.
Then, rebuild your copy from that raw emotional language.
Here’s what I mean:
❌ “Our program helps you stay consistent with your fitness goals.”
✅ “You know that feeling when you start strong for two weeks and then fall off again? That’s what we fix.”
❌ “We help founders clarify their offer.”
✅ “You’ve rewritten your headline five times and it still feels off — here’s why.”
See it?
It becomes personal.
Todays Drill:
Take one product or service you sell.
Instead of writing about it, write from your reader’s perspective.
Start with:
“I’m tired of…”
“I just want…”
“I can’t keep…”
Then build your copy around those emotions.
When you echo someone’s truth, you don’t need gimmicks.
You don’t need hype.
You just need empathy that sounds like their own voice coming back to them.
