Hello {{first_name | Friend}},
Today’s prompt explores a shift that instantly elevates your copy from “another message in the inbox” to “a voice worth following.”
It’s simple, but most writers never develop it.
Copy Prompt
Most copy pleads. It hints, suggests, implies.
Great copy leads.
You can feel it the moment you read it.
There’s clarity. There’s direction. There’s momentum.
It sounds like someone who knows exactly where they’re going and invites you to follow.
That is the Command Voice: the tone that makes your reader relax because someone finally sounds confident.
Not loud.
Not aggressive.
Just certain.
Look at this shift:
❌ “You might want to try our 7-day reset.”
✅ “Start your 7-day reset today.”
❌ “You could book your consultation if you’re available.”
✅ “Book your consultation now.”
❌ “This tool can help you get organized.”
✅ “Organize your workflow in minutes.”
No force. No pressure. Just direction.
And direction is comforting.
People follow the voice that knows what to do next.
Why this works
Your reader already has too many decisions to make.
When your copy removes friction by telling them the next step — clearly and calmly — their resistance drops.
A decisive voice transfers certainty.
Certainty transfers trust.
Trust drives action.
The Command Voice is about speaking with the energy of someone who has already solved the problem the reader is still struggling with.
Today’s Drill:
Take any headline, CTA, or opening line you wrote recently.
Rewrite it using imperative language — verbs that lead, not suggest.
Ask yourself:
“Does this sound like a confident guide or a hesitant marketer?”
Keep the version that feels like leadership, not permission-seeking.
